What is Parenting Wisely?

Parenting is hard, but Parenting Wisely can help.

Parenting Wisely is an evidence-based program that helps families improve communication and decrease conflict by teaching them effective strategies that have been proven to reduce school and homework problems, delinquency and other problem behaviors, family conflict and also lessen drug and alcohol abuse in youth.

Parent Wisely is a free program and can be completed in 2 to 3 sessions and scheduling is flexible. We offer this program online and in person.

With guidance from a Prevention Specialist, parents utilize an interactive computer-based program to learn constructive skills proven to solve problem behaviors, family conflict, and more.  Our Prevention Specialist guides parents through the scenarios and tailors the program to meet individual needs. The program provides tips and tools to parent your children in difficult situations. As they complete the computer modules, families improve their communication skills leading to more positive interactions and experiences. The program is especially helpful for single parents.
